      VFA-37 "Ragin Bulls" was established in 1966 as VF-37 and equipped with A-7 Corsair IIs. In November 1990 VF-37 became VFA-37 when they received the new McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. F/A-18C Hornet 165187 C/N 1321/C412 is part of VFA-37 "Ragin Bulls" that was re-assigned from the USS Harry Truman to the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN77). VFA-37 is due to make its first USS George H.W. Bush deployment on January 21, 2017 for a six month cruise to the Mediterranean and Arabian Gulf.
