      DC-10-30

The McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 was the most widely produced and successful long-range version of the DC-10 series. Introduced in 1972, it was powered by three General Electric CF6-50C turbofan engines, each producing 51,000 lbf (227 kN) of thrust, allowing for intercontinental range and improved efficiency. The DC-10-30 typically seated 250 to 380 passengers in a two- or three-class configuration and had a maximum takeoff weight of 263,000 kg (580,000 lbs). With a range of up to 10,600 km (5,700 nautical miles) and a cruising speed of 917 km/h (495 knots), it was ideal for long-haul routes. Equipped with an additional centerline main landing gear, the DC-10-30 became a reliable workhorse for international airlines worldwide.
