DH8D
The de Havilland Canada DHC-8D, known as the Dash 8-Q400, is the most advanced and powerful member of the Dash 8 family, introduced in 1999. Designed for high-speed regional service, it is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW150A turboprop engines, each producing 5,071 shp (3,783 kW), driving six-blade composite propellers with active noise and vibration suppression. The DHC-8D typically seats 68 to 78 passengers and has a maximum takeoff weight of 29,260 kg (64,500 lbs). With a cruising speed of 667 km/h (360 knots) and a range of up to 2,500 km (1,350 nautical miles), it rivals small jets in performance. Renowned for its speed, efficiency, and low noise, the Q400 became a mainstay of modern regional airline fleets worldwide.
