In June 1988 the aircraft was assigned to the 527th AS (Aggressor Squadron) at Bentwaters, UK with tail code WR. In its role as an aggressor 85-1479 was marked with Bort 01. In February 1990 it was re-assigned to 512th TFS and on October 1, 1991 the 512th wasre-designated 512th FS. March 1993 saw 85-1479 assigned to 706th FS with and 3 years later it moved to 457th FS.
