      Red Flag 12-2 took place from January 23, 2012 through February 3, 2012 and is a training exercise held at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada. The host 65th Aggressor Squadron/57th Adversary Tactics Group supplied F-15 and F-16’s as the Red Team Adversaries and the guest units were the Blue Team. One of the 65th AGRS aircraft was F-15C 78-0509 c/n 494 wearing the latest Digital Splinter Scheme. In 2014 the 65th AGRS was inactivated and 78-0509 went to the 122nd FS/159th FW Louisiana ANG minus the Digital Splinter Scheme.
