The Airbus A300 was the company's first commercial aircraft and was introduced in 1972. It was one of the first wide-body jets and was designed to compete with other popular aircraft of the time, such as the Boeing 747. The A300 was a twin-engine aircraft that could carry up to 250 passengers and had a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles. The A300 was well received by airlines, particularly those that needed a medium-sized aircraft to serve medium-haul routes.
