The Hawker Siddeley HS.748 is a twin-engine turboprop medium-range transport aircraft developed by the British manufacturer Avro, later part of Hawker Siddeley. First introduced in 1962, the HS.748 was designed for short- to medium-haul regional operations and could accommodate up to 58 passengers. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce Dart turboprop engines, which provide reliable performance and the ability to operate from short, unprepared airstrips. The aircraft features a low-wing design, robust undercarriage, and rear loading capability in some variants, making it well-suited for operations in remote or challenging environments.
