B747SR
The Boeing 747SR is a short-range version of the Boeing 747-100, designed specifically for high-frequency operation in Japan. It was developed by Japan Airlines and Boeing, and only 45 were produced between 1974 and 1981. The 747SR has a reduced fuselage length compared to other 747 models, a reinforced landing gear, and a modified engine arrangement. It was used primarily on domestic Japanese routes, and was popular for its combination of high capacity and short-haul capabilities. With the introduction of more fuel-efficient aircraft, the 747SR has been retired from commercial use, but some still remain in service with government and military organizations
