DH8B
The de Havilland Canada DHC-8B, commonly known as the Dash 8-200, is an upgraded version of the original Dash 8-100 regional turboprop, introduced in 1995. Designed for improved performance and efficiency, it is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW123 turboprop engines, each producing 2,150 shp (1,600 kW). The DHC-8B typically seats 37 to 39 passengers and has a maximum takeoff weight of 16,960 kg (37,400 lbs). With a cruising speed of 530 km/h (285 knots) and a range of up to 1,800 km (970 nautical miles), it delivers excellent short-haul capability and reliability. Featuring quieter, more powerful engines and advanced propellers, the Dash 8-200 became a dependable choice for regional airlines operating in challenging environments and remote areas.
