KC137
The KC-137 is a strategic aerial refueling tanker variant of the Boeing 707 operated by the Brazilian Air Force. Brazil converted several of its Boeing 707-320C transport aircraft into the KC-137 tanker configuration to provide aerial refueling capability for its military aviation assets. The KC-137 is equipped with a boom refueling system and hose-and-drogue pods, allowing it to refuel a range of fighter and transport aircraft. Powered by four Pratt & Whitney JT3D turbofan engines, the KC-137 has a long range and substantial fuel transfer capacity. The aircraft has served as a key element of Brazil's strategic airlift and power projection capabilities, supporting both domestic and international operations. The KC-137 demonstrated Brazil's ambition to operate a modern, multi-role military air transport fleet capable of conducting long-range missions. Although aging, the KC-137 continues to serve the Brazilian Air Force as one of South America's most capable tanker aircraft.
