N502DN, one of currently 28 examples of the A350, was given the traditional name "Spirit of Delta" in a small ceremony. The original "Spirit of Delta," was the airline's first Boeing 767-200, funded by donations from Delta employees in 1982. With the new "Spirit", Delta recognizes the tireless efforts of its employees worldwide, not least during the turbulence caused by the Covid pandemic.
