CRJ100
The Bombardier CRJ100 is a regional jet airliner developed by Canadair (later Bombardier Aerospace) and introduced in 1992 as part of the CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) family. Based on the Challenger 600 business jet, it features two General Electric CF34-3A1 turbofan engines, each producing 8,729 lbf (38.8 kN) of thrust. The CRJ100 typically seats 50 passengers in a single-class layout and has a maximum takeoff weight of 24,040 kg (53,000 lbs). With a range of approximately 1,620 km (875 nautical miles) and a cruising speed of 860 km/h (465 knots), it was designed for short- to medium-haul routes. The CRJ100 helped launch the regional jet era, offering airlines greater efficiency and passenger comfort on lower-demand routes.
