      F70

The Fokker 70 is a twin-engine, short-haul regional jet produced by Dutch manufacturer Fokker as a shortened derivative of the Fokker 100. Introduced in 1994, the F70 seats up to 80 passengers and is powered by two Rolls-Royce Tay 620 turbofan engines, offering efficient and quiet performance on regional routes. The aircraft retains the advanced avionics, T-tail configuration, and rear-mounted engine layout of the Fokker 100 family, while its shorter fuselage makes it well-suited for thinner routes and smaller regional airports. With a range of approximately 2,000 km, the Fokker 70 was used by a variety of European and Asian regional carriers seeking a cost-effective jet solution for routes not well-suited to larger aircraft. Following Fokker's bankruptcy in 1996, production ceased, but a number of Fokker 70s continue to serve with operators around the world. The aircraft is valued for its economical operation, passenger comfort, and strong operational reliability.
