Mikoyan MiG-29AS Fulcrum-C Diecast Model
Slovak Air Force 1st Letka, #0921, Sliac AB, Slovakia, 2013
In 2008, the Slovakian Ministry of Defence announced that all of its MiG-29 fighter jets would be converted to digital fractal camouflage, using a pattern developed by HyperStealth Biotechnology Corp. The three color (Blue, Medium Gray, Light Blue Gray) Digital Thunder camouflage pattern effectively conceals aircraft for ground, sea, overcast and blue sky. First used on military personnel uniforms, digital fractal camouflage patterns are increasingly being seen applied to military vehicles. The patterns are designed to fool the human brain into perceiving depth, creating a 3-D optical illusion to help break up the shape of the object being camouflaged.
