The Lockheed L-1011-500 TriStar was the ultimate long-range version of the L-1011 series, introduced in 1978 with advanced aerodynamics and upgraded engines. It was powered by three Rolls-Royce RB211-524B turbofan engines, each producing 53,000 lbf (236 kN) of thrust, providing greater efficiency and range. The L-1011-500 featured a shortened fuselage and increased fuel capacity, enabling a range of 9,400 km (5,100 nautical miles).
