      CRJ440

The Bombardier CRJ440 is a modified version of the CRJ200 regional jet, developed to meet specific U.S. airline scope clause limitations. Configured for 40 to 44 passengers, it maintains the same airframe, dimensions, and performance as the CRJ200 but with a reduced certified seating capacity to comply with pilot union agreements. Powered by two General Electric CF34-3B1 turbofan engines, each producing 8,729 lbf (38.8 kN) of thrust, the CRJ440 has a maximum takeoff weight of 24,040 kg (53,000 lbs) and a range of up to 3,050 km (1,650 nautical miles). With a cruising speed of 860 km/h (465 knots), it provided airlines with the flexibility to operate under regional jet contracts while maintaining proven CRJ performance and reliability.
