DC-9-32
The McDonnell Douglas DC-9-32 was one of the most successful and widely used variants of the DC-9 family, introduced in 1968 with improved power and range. It was powered by two Pratt & Whitney JT8D-9, -11, or -15 turbofan engines, producing up to 15,000 lbf (67 kN) of thrust each, enhancing performance and efficiency. The DC-9-32 typically seated 115 passengers in a two-class layout and had a maximum takeoff weight of 52,390 kg (115,500 lbs). With a cruising speed of 880 km/h (475 knots) and a range of about 2,800 km (1,500 nautical miles), it served short- to medium-haul routes efficiently. Operated by airlines worldwide, the DC-9-32 became renowned for its reliability, versatility, and operational longevity.
