The McDonnell Douglas DC-9-32 was one of the most successful and widely used variants of the DC-9 family, introduced in 1968 with improved power and range. It was powered by two Pratt & Whitney JT8D-9, -11, or -15 turbofan engines, producing up to 15,000 lbf (67 kN) of thrust each, enhancing performance and efficiency.
